Eastbourne runner and horse lover Jeannine Williamson completed last weekend’s Brighton Marathon in aid of The Brooke, a charity that helps working equines in some of the world’s poorest countries.
Jeannine, who completed the course in 4hrs 44mins and has raised nearly £1,000 in sponsorship, said, “It was tough towards the end as it turned out to be such a warm day, but it was an absolutely fantastic event with amazing crowd support all along the way. As always, I would like to thank everyone who supported me.”
All the money will go towards the charity that improves the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America, and provides support and advice for their owners.
Over the years Jeannine has raised more than £23,000 for the charity through runs and other fundraising events.
