Launch of charity Jazz Festival at Herstmonceux

Everything’s buzzing at Butlers Farmhouse in Herstmonceux, with the preparations for JAZZ Plus over the weekend of Saturday, August 3/Sunday, August 4.

The festival of ‘jazz and other music’ is in aid of Demelza Hospice Care for Children.

The musicians are tuning up; the barbecue will glow; the drinks will flow; lovely homemade cakes and scones will be ready; and Irene will put the final touches to her beautiful garden.

With a mixture of modern and traditional jazz, pop and rock, close harmony singing, jazz singing, jazz guitar, and lots more, there will be something for everyone - all under cover in a large marquee.

There is still room for more stalls for anyone decides to sell their wares at £10 a pitch.

The Friends of Demelza are organizing the event in conjunction with Pete Willson, and are providing a barbecue and licenced bar all day, as well as light lunches and cream teas in the lovely farmhouse.

With tickets at just £8.50 per day it is a chance to hear some great music as well as enjoy some food, a glass of wine or a cup of tea in great surroundings.

More news of further acts being added to the programme can be found at www.demelza.org.uk and on www.facebook.com/1066MusicNetwork

Tickets from Pam on 01323 844020, or Pete on 01323 833770 or at the Demelza shop and at Chapter 12, both in Hailsham High Street,
