The victim, who was not injured by any shots, called police claiming the other man was also in possession of a crossbow and a variety of other weapons.

The man in the caravan came out at the request of armed officers about an hour later and was arrested.

Police seized an air rifle and other unspecified items.

The 56-year-old man is currently in custody, for interview and further enquiries, on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

A police helicopter was also called to assist but the incident was resolved before it arrived.
