Eastbourne’s David Meer is undertaking a double IronMan challenge, all in the name of charity.
David is raising awareness and funds for little-known neurological charity PSPA (The PSP Association).The event, which takes place on September 20, will see David and a handful of other competitors travel to Llanberis, Snowdonia National Park to attempt an endurance event like no other.
Competitors start the event swimming eight 1000m laps around the Llanberis Lake at the bottom of Snowdonia Slate Quarry.
Eight hours into the challenge and as dusk approaches, David will cycle 224 miles around the national park accompanied by a support team.
“After seeing the pain my Dad goes through on a daily basis, I decided I had to make people more aware of the condition,” he said
