Twenty-eight David Lloyd girls were celebrating world record breaking success yesterday after squeezing themselves into a Mini.
The ladies completed the challenge live on ITV’s show This Morning on Thursday (November 15).
The ladies, who previously entered record books by getting 27 in a new Mini last year, went one step further and got 28 in the tiny car.
They also managed to squeeze 23 of the girls into an old Mini, beating the previous world record by two.
Dani Maynard , who organised the challenge, said, “It was just awesome and we all absolutely elated.
“Philip and Holly on This Morning just couldn’t believe we had done it.”
The event was held to raise money for Children in Need.
Dani said money was still coming in but explained last year’s world record raised £2,000. Dani said she was hoping beating two world records this year would raise even more money for the charity and she urged people to donate at the town’s David Lloyd.
