Mince pies and figgy pudding were strictly off the Christmas Day menu for a group of slimmers raising money for charity.
The group weigh a combined total of 106 stone and are doing a sponsored slim for the Tuesday O’Hara Fund, which provides support for young people with cancer and leukaemia.
William Pike came up with the idea and said, “I need to shed a few dozen pounds and thought it would be good to do it for Tuesday O’Hara Fund as people with cancer or leukaemia don’t get a break from their illness over Christmas and I can raise much-needed funds whilst losing unwanted pounds.”
Sue O’Hara, who started the charity back in 2007 with her husband Frank, is also taking part and if anyone else would like to join them now Sue can be contacted on 765624,
