A cyclist was knocked off his bike and left injured in the road after he was in collision with a truck at Cophall roundabout.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the hit and run, which took place on the A27 eastbound at Polegate at about 11.15am on Wednesday (October 14).
The cyclist, a 20-year-old man from Polegate, had just left the service station and was starting to cross the exit for the A27 when he was in collision with a vehicle, described as a ‘flat bed type’, which then drove off without stopping.
He suffered minor injuries to his elbows.
If anyone witnessed the collision or has any information about the flat bed vehicle, contact police on 101 or email firstname.lastname@example.org, quoting serial 0465 of 14/10.
