STRONG winds forced most of the stalls indoors for the Queen Alexandra Cottage Homes summer fair on Sunday, but there was a bumper attendance for the event and £1,500 was raised.

Cakes, books, bric-a-brac and tombola were among the stalls manned by residents and friends, and lively entertainment was provided by the Rhythmfire African Drum Band, pictured in action.

The money raised will go towards activities and outing for residents at the Homes, in Seaside.
