Herald Showcase: Ruth and Robin Foster

This week’s up and coming act for Herald Showcase is Robin and Ruth Foster.

The couple from Old Town, who have been married for 47 years, have been performing together for the last 18 months.

Ruth plays the miniature harp, which was hand-made by her husband, while singing and is accompanied by Robin on the Q-Chord.

Ruth said, “They are both very unique instruments.”

The pair have played in churches and care homes in Eastbourne. They are also members of Come All Nations, which is an international choir at the Prayer Centre in Lismore Road. It meets at 5pm on Thursday and Ruth and Robin say it always welcomes new members.
