The Sussex Police helicopter was out above Hampden Park and Willingdon last night (Wednesday) searching for a missing man.

At 8.40pm police were told that a 47-year-old man with medical conditions had gone missing from his home in Hampden Park.

Officers supported by a helicopter from the National Police Air Service and a dog unit made a search of the Eastbourne area.

The man was found safe and well near Hampden Park railway station at 10.20pm.
