THE BRITISH Heart Foundation is appealing for help after bad weather hit the quantity of goods donated to its charity shop in Terminus Road.
The recent extreme weather conditions have meant people have struggled to get out to take their unwanted goods to British Heart Foundation shops.
Managers at the store have reported a drop in donations of up to 80 per cent in areas worst hit by the snow.
The charity is urging people to hold onto their goods and donate them when it is safe. Mike Lucas, retail director at the British Heart Foundation, said, “We urge the public to donate to their local shop now the weather has improved and it’s safe to do so.”
The Eastbourne store at 165 Terminus Road would be grateful for donations of good quality clothing, handbags, shoes, books, DVDs, CDs and bric-a-brac.
