Cliff Wright, the illustrator of the Harry Potter books, will run a workshop as part of the Eastbourne Writes Festival which is on Saturday June 29 and Sunday June 30.
This workshop and others by Borbonesa, together with a Soap Box Stage for anyone wishing to read and stalls by illustrators, authors and local writing groups Anderida Writers and New Eastbourne Writers, will be held on the first floor of the Enterprise Centre on the Saturday. Stalls are open from 10am to 5pm.
Other events will be held at the Tome Book Shop at 226 Terminus Road on both afternoons and at the Towner Art Gallery on the Sunday.
At the Tome Book Shop on Saturday June 29 from 3pm to 6.30pm there are readings by local authors. Then on Sunday July 30, Tome will host talks by well-known crime writers Tom Bale and Elly Griffiths from 3pm-4.30pm, and at 5pm Daryl Burchmore will launch his latest book Sussex on the Screen: A Guide to Filming in the County 1896-2012.
The Towner Art Gallery will host various events, including a writing workshop by Jacq Molloy, an illustration workshop by Gillian Toft and interesting talks on Sunday June 30th from 10am until the prize giving of the writing competition at 5pm. The first talk will be by holocaust survivor Dorit Oliver Wolff at 12-12.30pm.
