MEMBERS of the Rotary Club of Sovereign Harbour will be out in force for Guide Dogs for the Blind as part of a Herald promotion later this month.

The fundraisers will be in the Asda store at Sovereign Harbour Retail Park on Thursday (March 8) trying to sign people up for the 2012 Harbour Walk, which takes place on April 22.

Locals, who can take their dogs on the sponsored walk, will also be able to register for it at Eastbourne Borough FC’s home fixture on April 7 or the Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club on April 11.

Alternatively, people can sign up online at www.harbourwalk.info.

Club president Peter Thomas said, “We are hoping for a huge turnout, including a large number of dogs, at this year’s event, and hope to significantly exceed our £5,000 target.”

The Rotary Club of Sovereign Harbour meets every Tuesday at 7pm for 7.30pm in Simply Italian at the Sovereign Harbour Waterfront - visiting Rotarians and prospective new members welcome.
