LITTLE ones from Hankham Primary School visited Wealden Recycling Centre to find out what happens to the paper, cardboard, foil and drinks cartons which are collected at school.

Members of the school council are keen for Hankham to become an Eco School and they are considering ways to save more energy and be less wasteful of raw materials.

They will deliver their report at an assembly in order to keep the profile of the ‘green agenda’ high on Hankham’s priority list.

Michael Round, Hankham headteacher, said, “It was a great visit and we would like to thank Julie Goodwin from Wealden District Council who was our guide for the morning.”
