PUPILS at Hampden Park Infants School celebrated the school’s centenary this week.
On Wednesday (July 6) staff and children marked the school’s 100th anniversary by recreating a classroom from the turn of the last century, pictured. Out went the PCs and whiteboard and in came the chalk and slate, and of course, a good old-fashioned blackboard.
Fortunately headteacher Angela Hubbard only posed a for a photo with the cane and didn’t mete out any corporal punishment.
The children also enjoyed a 100th anniversary tea party.
