PUPILS from White House Primary School in Hailsham are celebrating after becoming one of the first schools in East Sussex to achieve membership to the 2012 Olympic ‘Get Set’ Network.

The chairman of Wealden District Council, councillor Sylvia Martin and Jeff Hart, the MD of Freedom Leisure, presented a certificate to the pupils and head teacher Heather Baldwin, recognising the school’s work in promoting the Olympic values of Respect, Excellence, Friendship, Courage, Determination, Inspiration and Equality.

To commemorate their hard work, the school held a special open day and invited the wider community to come and have a look at some of the activities taking place.

Older children held a French day, while pupils from the Sapphire class planted seeds which will form part of an outdoor area designed entirely by the pupils.
