HAILSHAM United Junior Football Club is £265 better off thanks to Waitrose.

The club’s under-six nursery squad received the money through the supermarket’s Community Matters green token scheme and it will be put towards buying portable goals for training.

Chairman Trevor Brand said, “We are extremely grateful to Waitrose for allowing us to participate in their scheme and can confirm the monies will be put to good use.

“Waitrose have supported our club for many years now and we look forward to continuing this association in the years ahead.”
