SUSSEX Guild Contemporary Craft Show is taking place at Michelham Priory on August 4-7 (10.30am-5.30pm).
Selected for their high degree of skill and creativity, Guild members and their guest exhibitors will be showing excellent and inspiring work in the Elizabethan Great Barn and in marquees on the lawns.
A great attraction at this event are the demonstrations, these include stone carving, woodturning, embroidery, quiltmaking, leatherwork and blacksmithing.
Werner Haas, originally from Switzerland but now living in Seaford, will be showing how he makes stained glass pictures.
Several ceramicists will be showing different aspects of their craft with Eastbourne potter John Warren demonstrating how he makes his torso planters, Seaford sculptor Michele Findlay, showing how she uses moulds to create ceramic figures and Lewes potter Mohamed Hamid throwing at his wheel.
