HAILSHAM Photographic Society managed to raise £600 for Demelza Hospice Care for Children thanks to the success of this year’s Annual Colour Show.

Audience members were entertained by 18 photographic sequences set to music, including the Hailsham Bonfire Celebrations, Winter in the Rockies and the Herstmonceux Medieval Festival.

The mayor, Councillor Robin Kempe, was on hand during the Friday night Performance to present the cheque for £600 to Pam Robinson from Demelza Hospice Care.

He also handed out a number of accolades on the night including the Peggy Ash Memorial Trophy to the winners of the Audio Visual Competition, Pat Broadand and Hugh Milsom for their sequence Yellowstone - A Thermal Landscape.

In second place came Church Blues by Ant Sherwin and in third place was John Deller with his sequence Monodonia which featured monochrome images taken in Snowdonia.

The next opportunity to enjoy members’ work will be at the Annual Print Exhibition from June 20 -25 in the Charles Hunt Centre in Hailsham.
