THE TOWN Council’s Hailsham in Bloom Committee is still searching for the town’s most attractive gardens and horticultural displays for the 2011 entry into the South & South East in Bloom competition.
Residents who wish to enter the Best Kept Front Garden, Best Allotment, Best Business Premises and ‘Hailsham In Pictures’ Photography competitions have until June 10 to submit their applications.
Cash prizes will be up for grabs for winners and runners-up of the Best Kept Front Garden and ‘Hailsham In Pictures’ competitions (£50 and £25 respectively), kindly sponsored by E&S Heating and Ventilation Ltd.
Urging as many people to act quickly and take part in this year’s competitions, a spokesperson for Hailsham In Bloom said, “Whilst the standard of entries was incredibly high last year and the judges had a difficult time choosing the winners, I am confident that again this year, many individuals and businesses will wish to show off their horticultural efforts.
“Over the past four years, Hailsham In Bloom has brought about the best in our town’s green-fingered residents, and I would remind people that they only have a few weeks to submit their application forms.”
Full terms and conditions, including judging criteria are available to download via www.hailshaminbloom.org. Entry forms can also be downloaded online, and are available to collect from the Town Council offices (Inglenook, Market Street).
Entry into each competition categories is free of charge.
