A £600 CHEQUE has been handed over to the Hailsham Out and About Club to help with outings.

Hailsham PCSO Faye Fletcher presented the cheque to the club after the donation from the Police Property Act Fund, made up of money received by the police from property confiscated by order of court and then sold if an owner cannot be identified.

A spokesperson at the club said, “We will use the money for coaches to take out 40 disabled and elderly residents within the Hailsham area to monthly excursions.

“The coaches pick up every individual member around Hailsham and take them to various activities. This enables the members to get out of their home for the day as well as meet up with friends and see other people.”

PCSO Fletcher said, “I am so glad the club will benefit from the money and that it will help continue their enjoyment.”
