SUSSEX’S landscape takes centre stage in a striking new exhibition of traditional and digital photography by local artists at the Gallery North this month.

The exhibition, called ‘High and Over’ explores the local landscape of the South Downs, the Cuckmere Valley and the Sussex coastline.

Established Sussex photographer Vivienne Blakey shows a collection of monochrome and colour images depicting the landscape around her home on the South Downs.

Often working at dawn, she repeatedly visits the same location to capture the haunting atmosphere and light in the valley.

Other exhibiting photographers include several members of the Hailsham Photographic society,  Roger Scott, David Mills and the society’s president Liz Scott whose inspiration is often taken from the natural world.

The current exhibition ‘High and Over’ is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10am‐ to 4pm at Gallery North, 70 High Street, Hailsham and runs from now until March 26. new exhibition of traditional and digital photography by local artists at the Gallery North this month.
