Four men, one with a gun, forced their way into a home and attacked two men in an Eastbourne flat, before making off with £300.

Sussex Police is investigating a robbery in Westerham Road, Langney, yesterday evening (February 12), at around 6.30pm.

It happened shortly after a 36-year-old-man, a 24-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man had returned to the property.

Four men, one armed with what appeared to be a handgun, forced their way into a flat and stole almost £300.

Two men in the flat were kicked and punched, suffering minor injuries for which they did not require medical treatment.

The robbers, all wearing dark clothing and scarves over their faces, demanded money.

It is believed that the offenders were all black men and may have been in a new-style silver Vauxhall Astra which was parked nearby when the victims returned to Westerham Road.

The same flat was the scene of a robbery on December 16 in which three white men armed with a knife robbed the occupant of £2,000.

It is not known if the two incidents are linked in any way.
