An eight-year-old girl has been attacked by a dog in Eastbourne.
Police are now trying to trace the owner of the black-and-white Staffordshire bull terrier which attacked the girl in Colwood Crescent.
The incident happened after the girl and her mother were walking to visit a friend at around 8.30pm on Saturday (October 17). It was dark at the time.
The child was bitten in the face by the terrier when it leapt at her while being walked by a white girl, 16-18 years old, 5’10”, wearing a grey hoodie.
She was left with bite marks and a broken nose which required hospital treatment.
Anyone who saw the incident, noticed the girl walking the dog or who knows who she may be is asked to contact police.
They should email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 101, quoting serial 437 of 18/10.
