More than 60 people attended Eastbourne Homes residents’ Getting to Know You event.
Representatives from the various organising groups at Eastbourne Homes were invited.
These included members of the four Area Panels from across the town, who are given a budget to pass on to local community projects, as well as other panels set up to help leaseholders, the disabled and retirement housing residents.
The annual event, held at Age Concern Eastbourne in Junction Road, provided an opportunity for residents to get together in a relaxed and informal environment.
Emma Pierssene, who works at Eastbourne Homes, entertained guests with her singing, and Joyce Walker played the piano.
Guests were also invited to take part in a quiz, tombola and wordsearch, and The Pantry provided a buffet.
Cecile Slater, vice-chair of the Residents’ Scrutiny Panel, said, “We were pleased with the number of people who took the time to drop in to Getting to Know You. It’s an ideal opportunity to meet other residents, members of the various panels and Eastbourne Homes’ staff.
“The event went really well and the entertainment was excellent.”
