GBH charge after homophobic attack on Eastbourne man

A 21-year-old has been charged with committing grievous bodily harm after an Eastbourne man was punched in the face and suffered a broken jaw in Brighton.

Arain Moradi, 21, a student, of Blenheim Crescent, London, is accused of approaching the 26-year-old victim in Madeira Drive in the early hours of Sunday May 8 and using homophobic language before assaulting him.

Moradi is on conditional bail and due to appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on September 1.
