GRANTS are available to groups who help young people in Eastbourne – with as much as £2,000 up for grabs.
East Sussex County Council has launched the latest round of its Eastbourne Youth Bank project and is offering financial support to local schemes which work with youngsters to reduce anti-social behaviour. Groups which help tackle bullying, promote healthy eating and fitness, get young people more involved in their local community, deal with sexual health or encourage volunteering are also encouraged to apply for any amount between £200 and £2,000. The closing date for applications is Monday, July 23 at 4pm. Details can be found online at www.eastbourne.gov.uk/community/youth/youth-partnership. Applications will be considered by the council as well as the Eastbourne Youth Forum – who will make recommendations about what project to support.
