MAYOR Carolyn Heaps and 1960s pop star Dec Cluskey were among the VIPs at Lark in the Park on Saturday.

Blustery conditions didn’t make for a perfect day but those who braved the wind were treated to a thoroughly entertaining afternoon.

The Pentacle Drummers were among the main attractions, with Worthing dance group The Wonder Girls, youth music collective Gotta Boom and the Sussex School of Dance also performing.

Steve Reynolds, of Lark in the Park, thanked those who took part and came along and said, “Next year we will hope for better weather.”
