A FRENCH national television station was in Eastbourne last week to film a feature on students in the town.

Camera crews from Channel 2 filmed students on the ELAC Classique Adventure Course, run by Ian Turner, who also works at Eastbourne College.

The students study English for three hours per day and have a mixture of outdoor sports in the afternoon, which include climbing, mountain biking, archery, and windsurfing.

Windsurfing at Spray Sports was featured in the film report along with Eastbourne College where ELAC is based and a local host family was also interviewed.

Ian Turner said, “It was a very interesting experience having a TV crew and camera man filming your every move.

“We did an interview where I stressed the improvement in the last 10 years in the standard of English spoken and written by French students.”
