Volunteers at Seaford Museum had a shock when they discovered a fox inside the building.
Volunteer John Bond called East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service (WRAS) for assistance once volunteers had managed to carefully corner the fox behind an old organ.
Rescuers took 15 minutes to secure the unexpected visitor which was then placed onto a blanket and checked over before being taken to WRAS’s Casualty Care Centre at Whitesmith for the day and given food and water.
WRAS planned to release the fox later on in Seaford so it was in familiar surroundings.
