Four teenagers have been arrested after a ‘nasty and unprovoked attack’ on three men in Eastbourne last night (October 8).

Police say three Polish men - two aged 20 and one aged 24 - were attacked by a large group of youths and had cash and mobile phones stolen from them at around 9pm in Hartfield Park, Eastbourne.

One of the victims had stitches to a head wound after the attack.

Detective Sergeant Bonnie Cowley, of Eastbourne CID, said, “This was a nasty and unprovoked attack, carried out after dark, and we would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and who may have noticed anything suspicious.”

Anyone who saw what happened or who may have other information about the incident is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.co.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 1514 of 08/10.

Four teenagers - two 18-year-olds and two 16-year-olds, all from Hailsham - have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and are being held in police custody while enquiries continue.
