ST MARY’S Church, Old Town, is holding a flower festival from September 2-5.
The festival is called For Everything There is a Season and arrangements will mark the main events of the church’s year, such as the Christmas period and Easter.
On September 4 they will form the backdrop to the Festival Eucharist at which the preacher will be the Bishop of Blackburn.
Bishop Nicholas Reade is a native of Bexhill and was vicar of St Mary’s between 1988 and 1997.
As well as the flowers there will be musical interludes and the 15th Century Hall in the Old Parsonage.
