A fishmonger’s collection pot has netted £500 for Eastbourne lifeboats. Chris Veasey & Sons of Forest Row have had a collection box for the benefit of RNLI Eastbourne on the counter of their establishment for some time and customers have continued to generously contribute their loose change.

On Sunday Chris met with the volunteer lifeboat crew and presented a cheque for £500 to coxswain Mark Sawyer and lifeboat operations manager Paul Metcalfe, who thanked Chris and his customers for their support.

The donation will go towards the running of the station which will help continue the RNLI’s life saving work off Eastbourne.
