Two fire engines were called to a blaze in an Eastbourne home last night (Monday).

Crews were sent to Cavalry Crescent following reports of a kitchen fire on the ground floor at around 8pm, said East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one carbon dioxide extinguisher, one high pressure hose reel and one hose reel jet to tackle the accidental fire.
