STONE Cross Independent Pre-school held its Summer Fayre at the weekend which also marked its own its own jubilee.
The school started on June 6, 1952, at the Memorial Hall at Stone Cross and has since expanded with a second site in Adur Drive based within the main school.
Organisers said the fair was a great success with £950 raised on the day with more to follow through the Barclays Matched Funding Scheme.
Among the attractions at the fair were a grand raffle, tombola, face painting, bric-a-brac, Whack-a-Rat, bouncy castle and stalls, manned by teachers, committee members and friends and family.
Gaye Nethercott from the organisation said, “The support and generosity from parents and local businesses with donations proved overwhelming and makes such a huge difference to the continued development of the pre-school.”
