Games, stalls and entertainment will take place on the Western Lawns for the The Friends of the Devonshire Park Theatre’s annual summer fete.
The event will take place throughout the day on August 20.
There will be an official opening at 10am by the Mayor of Eastbourne Cllr Pat Hearn and Eastbourne-based Stix drummers will start the entertainment. The drummers will parade along the seafront from the pier.
Other entertainment includes performances from the Shining Stars Dance Academy, the Paul Davis Easybeat Orchestra and - back by popular demand - Black Strap Molasses - a four-piece group who provide a mix of folk, Americana and songs they have written themselves.
There will be a wide range of stalls including the ever popular cake and home-made produce, CD/DVDs and books, gifts, out of the attic treasures, the RNLI and flowers and gifts from The Friends of Eastbourne DGH.
Visitors can also play games of luck or skill and for wagers on the tombola or the wine and spirit raffles. There is also the chance to win a meal for two or a special day out.
Youngsters will be kept amused at the Steve Nutter’s old-time children’s funfair and Punch and Judy provided by Ray Sparks. Kidz Corner will include something for young people of all ages including face painting and a storytelling tent.
A wide range of refreshments including Pimms will be available.
The free event will be open until 4pm.
