The family of missing Polegate man, Brian Imison, have celebrated a Happy Easter after hearing this morning that the 63-year-old has turned up safe.

Sussex Police called the family this morning with the welcome news that Brian had been found in Shoreham.

His disappearance last Wednesday had sparked a major police search when Brian, from Black Path, failed to turn up for a pre-arranged meeting.

A description was put out for him, with police checking number plate recognition cameras for a trace for his Toyota vehicle. A major appeal was put out through media and social networking sites.

Son-in-law, Daniel Cumbers said: “We received a phone call this morning to say Brian has been found safe and well and is with them. We have got no further details at the moment.”
