A SUMMER fair on Saturday raised more than £800 for the Eastbourne and South Wealden branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
It was held at the Wannock home of Nigel Waterson, the branch patron, and his wife, Barbara.
There were stalls to tempt the steady stream of visitors including plants, books, bric-a-brac, cakes and tombola.
The event was formally opened by Mr Waterson who has been patron of the branch for 20 years.
He and his wife were thanked for their hospitality by committee member Peter Austin.
MS Day Centre manager Linda Warner said, “We were delighted with the amount raised which will help our work in supporting people affected by MS in this part of East Sussex.
“Our thanks go to Heath Butchers, and Eastbourne Foam and Fabrics, and others who donated tombola and raffle prizes, also to Dave Tubbs of Mobility Homestyle for his invaluable assistance.”
