IT’S EASTBOURNE - but not as we know it!
A new photographic exhibition features interesting and inventive images of the town through the lens of Eastbourne photographer Christos Christou. Entitled 35mm, it is his second photographic exhibition following a A Year in Film last summer.
To create his striking visuals Christos uses 35mm slide film and ‘cross processes’ the slides by deliberately developing them in the wrong type of chemicals, which produces bright colours and some bizarre effects.
The exhibition will also feature a wall of images produced through ‘film swaps’.
This technique involves a person shooting a roll of 35mm film, then rewinding it before sending it to Christos who in turn will re-shoot the film and produce double exposures of a totally unique and random manner.
The free exhibition is up and running at Printers, 12 Station Street, and runs until March 31.
