Residents at an Eastbourne Homes-managed sheltered accommodation are benefitting from improvements to their outdoor area. The back garden of Sutherland Court in Hampden Park used to be divided into two by a wall, causing access problems for wheelchair users. But thanks to £1,200 funding from Hampden Park & Willingdon Trees Area Panel, the wall has been knocked down and a ramp built between the two gardens. General improvements have also been made, including new paving, and keen gardeners at the court have planted flowers, shrubs and hanging baskets,.
Inez Mepham at Eastbourne Homes said, “The improvements to the outside area have made it better for the residents.”
