The final of the Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra’s annual young soloist competition, now in its 26th year, takes place this Sunday.
Some 30 musicians from various music colleges competed in the first round and the winner will be chosen during the final round in the Birley Centre on February 10 (2pm-6pm).
The five finalists (one cellist, one flautist, two pianists and one violinist) will each play a movement from two contrasting concertos. Adjudication will be at 5.30pm.
Tickets £8 (including tea) on the door; there is no need to reserve seats.
