EODS rock it in tale of Bohemian New York
EASTBOURNE Operatic and Dramatic Society will be performing rock music Rent at the Devonshire Park Theatre from November 17-21.
Written by the composer and playwright, Jonathon Larson, and based on Puccini's La Bohme, Rent tells the story of one year in the life of friends living the Bohemian life in modern day East Village, New York City, 1989-1990.
The show, which won a Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award for Best Musical during its run in the US, features the well known and much loved songs Seasons of Love, Tango Maureen" and Without You.
The talented cast include well known local faces: Damon Willer playing Mark Cohen, Ashley Wright playing Roger Davis and Rebecca Fillery as the sexy and sassy Mimi Marquez.
Evening performances are at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets cost from 12-14, call 412000.
