TWO schoolgirls were the worthy winners of the town’s Easter Egg Hunt.

Little Tallula Fawcett and Cerys Roberts, of St John’s Meads School, won e-readers for themselves and one for the school after completing a trail of clues in the town’s shops. The trail was organised by Eastbourne Framing Centre’s Lucy Newport as a way of bringing retailers and consumers together.

Runners up were Samuel and Maia Wells, who have been invited for a day out at the Houses of Parliament by Eastbourne MP Stephen Lloyd.

The e-reader prizes were donated by The Laptop Station and Eastbourne Framing Centre.

Participating stores included Funky Viking, Tri-Store, Viewpoint Gallery, Bang & Olufsen, Secret Garden, the Really Scrumptious Cake Company and Banana Tree.
