Sussex Police has released an efit for a man they want to speak to in connection with a sexual assault in Eastbourne.

The victim, an 11-year-old boy, had been on the beach at the end of Macquarie Quay, Sovereign Harbour North on Wednesday October 22, around 6.30pm when he was approached by a man.

Police said the man asked the boy’s name before putting his hand down the boy’s trousers. The boy screamed and the man ran away.

The suspect is described as white, about 30, with blond hair wearing a black Nike top, grey joggers and Nike Air trainers.

DC Claire Linsell said, “Whilst serious, this is an isolated incident and enquiries are continuing. The victim did exactly the right thing by telling his parents what happened. We are now hoping that someone recognises this man and can help us with our enquiries.”

If you know this man, or have any information relating to the incident, contact police on 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk with the reference 1605 of 23/10.
