Eastbourne woman spat and punched victim

A 24-YEAR-OLD who spat in a man’s face has appeared in court.

Lianne Carson spotted her victim who had been out drinking on a works do on August 3 outside the Charcoal Grill in Susans Road.

The man, whose friend was inside the venue, was holding a glass of lager when, without warning, Carson approached him, grabbed the glass and drank the rest of the alcohol.

When Carson was confronted she spat at the victim. When he spat back she punched him in the mouth, kicked him in the genitals, before punching him again.

When the man’s friend came outside and asked what was going on the defendant then punched her.

Carson, of Rotherfield Avenue, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating. Two similar charges were withdrawn.

She also admitted being in breach of two conditional discharges.

Maxine Buck, defending, said, “Miss Carson does suffer from bi-polar and personality disorder.

“During the hours of this offence she wasn’t on her medication.”

The case was adjourned for reports until November 1.
