Police are hunting a man who attacked a group of German students as they got off a bus.

The students were on their way to the home where they staying when they were confronted by a man in The Rising, Langney, at about 10.15pm on (July 11).

The man chased the three male and two female students, who were all aged between 11 and 14, while shouting racist abuse at them.

The attacker punched one of the male students in the face, slapped the second in the face and struck the third in the back. The girls were not assaulted.

None of the victims suffered serious injuries but all were left shaken.

It is believed that the attacker recognised his victims as German because the bus they got off was marked Jurgen Matthes Student Organisation.

The attacker is described as a white teenager was slim with short brown hair. He was dressed in dark clothing.
