An Eastbourne fabric shop is holding a fashion show to celebrate 30 years of business in the town.
C&H Fabrics, based on Terminus Road, is holding the fashion show as part of a week of activities to celebrate its business.
Six members of store staff will be modelling outfits from the brands Tigi and Viz a Viz.
The store will also be holding daily free workshops on crocheting and patch-working between Monday September 21 and Friday September 25.
There will also be tea, cake and a free raffle for customers as well as a lucky dip and a colouring competition for children.
The store first opened its doors at Eastbourne’s Army and Navy store in 1961 before moving to its current premises in 1985.
Store manager Diana Hing said, “There’s been a big change in the emphasis since then. Originally it was all dress fabrics as just about everyone knew how to sew.
“I’m finding now that we’re getting people coming in with their grandchildren - and that’s boys as well as girls - because youngsters really want to learn the skills of dressmaking, knitting, crochet, in fact all the crafts.
“The knowledge has skipped a generation, even two, and these young people want something individual, personal and often they just want to have a go. We’re reviving classes, arranging demonstrations and our talented staff are more than ready to help and guide anyone wanting to learn.”
