Eastbourne museum founder George Musgrave dies

Eastbourne museum founder George Musgrave has died at the age of 97.

Mr Musgrave, who set up The Musgrave Collection in Seaside Road to which he devoted his retirement and life savings, died at his home in Southbourne Road yesterday (Monday).

He was an accomplished athlete, artist and maker of children’s toys – and invented the yellow lines after winning a road safety competition.
