Eastbourne man killed in A27 crash

A 37-YEAR-OLD man who died after being impaled on a wooden fence after a car crash on the A27 has been identified by police.

Gwendal Troadec, of Silverdale Road, Eastbourne, died in hospital on Thursday after the serious collision near Lewes on Wednesday (January 19).

Mr Troadec was driving eastbound at around 5.25am when his car left the road and collided with a fence opposite Ranscombe Farm, between the Beddingham and Southerham roundabouts.

He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital by ambulance where he later died from his injuries.

There was no one else in the vehicle and no other vehicle was seen to be involved.
