EASTBOURNE magistrates today remanded in custody a 30-year-old man charged with child abduction.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Eastbourne Magistrates’ Court to face the charge of abducting a 15-year-old.
The man, who was dressed in a grey jumper, spoke in court only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.
He was represented by his solicitor, Phil Smith, who did not make a bail application.
The man was remanded in custody by magistrate Nick Letherby to appear via video link before Eastbourne magistrates on October 17.
